Snakes by nature do not want confrontation and would rather slither away from trouble than attack something that may hurt them. The “Snake Defence” solar repeller is the solution to deterring snakes by transmitting both an earth borne*** vibration and air borne low frequency sound that has been found ideal to deter snakes. This changing pulse**** is transmitted every 60 seconds and is picked up through a snake’s body sensors, thinking that danger may be ahead, snakes are keen to change direction for safer ground and avoid a danger zone.
The idea behind the changing pulses is to vary the pattern so snakes do not become accustomed to the pulse. Snakes know the vibration of small animals that are a potential meal, they also know that a heavy or unusual vibration could spell trouble and possible injury, exactly the sense of danger the “Snake Defence repeller” is designed to create.
***Of the two pulses, the earth borne vibration is the most important. The sound is for the snake, but also for the owner to hear that the unit is working correctly
.
Coverage: Up to a radius of 15 meters (30m Diameter) or about 700 sq meters in all directions. We suggest an overlap of 5m, so each unit should be positioned about 25m apart. The vibration & sound to a snake will be unsettling, create a feeling of uncertainty, an area to be avoided.
