How it works

The ScatMat concept is quite simple. Like humans, our pets do not like discomfort and can be taught to avoid areas that they find unpleasant.
The ScatMat is designed to give an electrical zap Running through the plastic mat are fine wires about 25mm apart that are joined to the battery operated control box. When your pet walks or jumps on the mat it activates the circuit and instantly all wires in the ScatMat become active, giving your pet a sharp zap.
The normal reaction is to reverse direction and go back to safe ground. In time you should be able to turn off the power once they are conditioned and they will still avoid the mat.
